The application fees for New York State educator certificates are listed in the table below. The fee covers the labor cost of evaluating the credentials; it does not guarantee issuance of a certificate.

By regulation, an application is valid for three years or two evaluations, whichever comes first. After the application has been evaluated, the fee is non-refundable.

Individuals pay for their application while completing their application in the TEACH Online System via credit card (Master Card or Visa) or by printing a mail-in payment coupon available in TEACH.

$100 per certificate title or extension Initial/Professional/Provisional/Permanent/Transitional A, H, G, Supplementary certificate, Statement of Continued Eligibility/Limited Extension, or certificate extension based on completion of alternate requirements (transcript evaluation, also referred to as Individual Evaluation)
$35 Level 1, Level 2, Level 3 or Pre-Professional Teaching Assistant
$100 Permit authorizing supplementary service in areas for which no specific certificate exists
$50 Time Extension of a Transitional, Internship, or Residency certificate
